"Roses are Red" My neighbor usually has fresh flowers weekly, so I borrowed these roses in the vase and set them up for a still life painting. I took photos of them in several different positions, and ended up painting these, I loved the shadows of the red on the post behind it.

This young woman worked in the port of Honduras. She was on stilts in a long blue silk dress and blue headdress with flowers, standing next to the Port Roatan sign, waving and posing for photos with the cruise ship tourists. I goal was to capture the joy and happiness in her welcoming smile.

Done for the Day" Blue boats of Morocco. From a photo I took when on a day tour to the city of Essaouira. known for their blue fishing boats. By the time we got to the harbor, the fisherman were back, cleaning and selling fish at the dock to customers who used nearby grills to cook their fish for lunch. The docks were full of boats tied together, and if you didn't get a spot in the water, you found a spot on the land, got friends to help haul it out, and rolled it on logs back into the water.

While in Provence, we visited Rossillon, a town that is famous for its ochre deposits, used for centruries to produce pigments. The cliffs and buildings of the town display a stunning range of colors from yellow to red. I came across this little garden and table in a patch of sunlight at the corner of a stairway going up past some colorful buildings.

While I was sitting in a restaurant in the mountains of North Carolina, I watched the waitress as she discussed the different menu options with a customer. The the bright sunlight reflected off the wood bench and table and gave off a warm feel to the scene, and I hope I captured that in this painting. Framed in Non Reflective Glass.

"Beneath the Crimson Canopy"
This painting was from a photo I took while visiting the Greek Islands. Mykonos was one of the stops on the cruise, and a beautiful Island that had many alleyways and beautiful flowers and trees. As we walked through the town, we came to this building in a little square with this beautiful Bougainvillea tree shading the building.
